Stories that are poignant and powerful. Stories that add fresh perspectives to continuing global discussions around <strong>social justice<\/strong>, <strong>humanitarian action<\/strong>, <strong>human development<\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">conservation<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">sustainability<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong>climate resilience<\/strong> and <strong>disaster mitigation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over a career spanning two decades, my documentary films, video stories and multimedia features have been published by companies and organisations such as The Weather Channel, IBM, UNICEF, IMF, Vice Media, NBC Left Field, CNN Great Big Story, Tata Global Beverages, and ministries of the Government of India, among many others. I was a 2021 recipient of the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">National Geographic Society Covid-19 Emergency Reporting Fund<\/mark><\/strong>; a 2019 co-awardee of the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Editor &amp; Publisher EPPY Awards<\/mark><\/strong> as a contributing producer of The Weather Channel\u2019s climate project <em>Exodus<\/em>; a 2015 recipient of the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Films Division of India Documentary Fund<\/mark><\/strong>; and a 2014 finalist at the <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Sundance Institute \/ Gates Foundation Short Film Challenge<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I specialise in multimedia reporting from remote field locations in far-flung corners around the world, often working as a one-person unit. I am a long-time user of <strong>SONY professional equipment<\/strong>, owning and operating the latest <strong>Netflix-approved SONY 4K cameras<\/strong> for video work, and <strong>SONY full-frame mirrorless cameras<\/strong> for photography. I am also proficient in <strong>underwater<\/strong> and <strong>aerial <\/strong>photography, and operate my own professional gear for both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having lived in five countries over the years, I am currently based in Fiji Islands, and continue to travel around the world on assignment. When not engaged in work, I spend my time diving the spectacular tropical coral reefs of Fiji \u2014 I hold a professional <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">PADI Scuba Divemaster<\/mark><\/strong> licence \u2014 and carrying out serendipitous kitchen experiments with recipes and cuisines from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I tell stories for a living.
